Farm-i-tude 137 Testing
About the Program
Agri Spray Drones in partnership with the WakWay Foundation is providing an opportunity for 107 qualified pilots to operate under the Farm-i-tude 137 program. This program allows individuals waiting for their 137 certification to be approved to work under the Farm-i-tude program to do custom application legally.
Study guide materials for the tests are located in the resources section below.
Through this partnership, Agri Spray customers who possess their Part 107 certification can spray under Farm-i-tude’s 137 program while receiving a preferred rate to do so.
Still need to complete your 107 certification? Access the FAA Part 107 study guide below in the resources section.
To work under Farm-i-tude’s 137 program, you MUST attend an evaluation with an Examiner and pass both a FAA-approved written and flight test.
Once you successfully pass the flight requirements, you will be added under Farm-i-tude’s 137 as a qualified pilot. For those flying a drone over 55+ lbs., you will need to provide your drone N number and registration. If your drone is under 55+ lbs., you will only need to provide your registration. All pilots will need to provide their 107 license, state commercial applicators license, class 2 Medical and proof of or purchase liability (only) insurance.
Need drone insurance? We recommend VT Insurance Agency, LLC (vtinsuranceagency.com). Connect with Vaughn Tolbert via phone at (817) 565-7304 or by email at [email protected].
You will first need to register for a 137 testing time slot. You will also need to sign a non-disclosure agreement and a pilot contract with Farm-i-tude prior to testing.
You can request a pilot contract and NDA through [email protected].
Costs beyond the testing fee include:
- $1,000 one-time set up fee to the Foundation
- Contractor umbrella fee of 12.0% gross sales annually**
- Contractor insurance policy with Contractor named as additional insured for $1,000,000
(see insurance addendum-must be reviewed and accepted by Contractor and Contractor’s insurance carrier)
**Private applications (pilots that are flying for just their own farm) will have a monthly fee based only on how many months of the year they are flying.
Any questions about the pilot contract should be directed to Michelle Truman at the Wakway Foundation by emailing [email protected].
Evaluation with an Examiner will be offered at the Agri Spray Drones Warehouse located in Boonville, Missouri. Future testing dates will be posted on Farm-i-tude’s site.
Testing is one-on-one with an Examiner. The hour-long testing sessions begin with the online test followed by the flight demonstration test. You do not need to bring your drone for testing. Agri Spray Drones will provide a drone. You do need to bring your own computer.
